Today a lot of debate is going on about CORONA virus on main stream media and social media. We are getting lot of information about viruses and associated perils. But still lot of answers remain unanswered. We will try to cover in this article a little more which will help in getting a clarity over this.
Humans are just mass of cells. When we are born, we are pure, unfettered and uncontaminated. Raphael Kellman says, just after birth, we start picking up microbes from environment which are present everywhere. Gradually we become more microbes and less human and a time come when we are just 10 percent human and ninety percent microbes to the extent that human body has more bacterial cells then human cells. These microorganisms that make our bodies their homes are called microbiota and micro biome. The microorganism that live within us dictate the way food is used, govern appetite control cravings, influence genes and hormones, make natural antibiotics, produce vitamins, control sleep and moods by controlling neurotransmitter.
Microbes live everywhere in the body and an adult carries 1.4 kilograms of them by weight, which is one of the largest organ of the body, equal to the weight of brain and little lighter than liver. Our Intestines is a thirty feet long sewage system housing the largest community of microbes. Different types of Bacteria live in different parts of our body. It’s almost as though we exist as an ecosystem and not as an individual.
What is microbe?
Microbes are tiny living thing impossible to be seen by naked eyes. They live everywhere in Water, Air, and Soil and our human body is home to trillions of microorganisms. The most common types of microbes are Bacteria, Viruses and fungi.

Bacteria is a single cell organism. There are many kinds of bacteria and they exist and can survive in different conditions. Most of the Bacteria are not dangerous to humans. rather help us to stay healthy. Less than 1 percent of all Bacteria are responsible for diseases. Tuberculosis is one of them. Bacterial diseases can be treated by antibiotics.
Viruses have no cells of their own. They are non-living organisms. They are made of one or more molecules surrounded by protein shells. It is needed for virus to reproduce. But a virus can’t reproduce without a host cell. Moreover, unlike Bacteria, viruses are responsible for all kind of infectious and communicable diseases. Viruses invade healthy cells and start mutating. Finally, they succeed in killing the healthy cells.
It’s difficult to fight viruses with medication as mutations keep happening and viruses like Covid – 19, SARs, MERs, Ebola, Nipah, HiV keep occurring and re-occurring. The only way we can save ourselves is when our own Immune System is fighting the invasion of these viruses and protecting the human body. Immune system can be trained of course by a vaccination or eating healthy, organic and food with anti-viral properties., so that the body is better prepared to fight the virus.Ultimately, it’s our immune system which is very vital in fighting viruses.

Hence more emphasis must be on developing a healthy immune system again by adopting an active life style and healthy food habits. You can’t avoid the invasion of viruses. What you can do is strengthen your immune system to fight these viruses.
