Neelakurinji: Neelakurinji (Strobilanthes kunthiana) is a shrub found mainly in the Western Ghats of Kerala and Tamil Nadu in South India. It blooms once every 12 years, although it is sometimes mistakenly believed to bloom only once in a century. The last bloom occurred in 2018 in Munnar, Kerala, and the next one is expected in 2030.
