Since Diwali this year in Delhi-NCR, continuous pollution has increased the problems of the people. People are finding it difficult to even breathe when they come out of the house. Meanwhile, a study has come out, in which it has been claimed that the pollution is very high even inside the houses of the capital.

A study by the Energy Policy Institute at University of Chicago (EPIC India) has come out. It has been claimed that the pollution is very high even inside the houses of the capital. According to the study, the level of PM 2.5 in low-income and high-income households during winter in the capital is between 23 and 29 times higher than the WHO’s safe limit.

Spend 13 times more to maintain clean air in homes

People feel safe at home

According to the study’s lead author Dr. Keith Lee, the research clearly means that no one is getting clean air in the capital, whether rich or poor. Research says that people are not aware that the air in their homes is not clean and they feel safe in their homes without any worry and do not take any steps to reduce indoor pollution. It is very important to bring awareness for this.

Air pollution can provide some relief

However, now there is a slight reduction in the level of pollution. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the people of Delhi will continue to get some relief from air pollution for the next 4 days. The Air Quality Index is likely to remain in the medium or poor category during this period. Let us inform that on Wednesday, the average air quality index of Delhi was recorded in the poor category but it was better than the previous days. The people of Delhi were breathing poisonous air filled with pollution since the beginning of November, but due to the changes in the weather and the increase in the speed of the wind, now some extent has started to meet the pollution.
