Sometimes it becomes difficult to believe, how nature has created, developed, and still developing all those perfect mechanisms to originate, nurture and provide all the resources, give adequate space, and all kind of opportunities to human beings to live this life in entirety. How nature has worked continuously and incessantly to create a perfect and free environment for humans to grow, develop, and act as per their capabilities.

HIMALAYAS is a perfect example of this phenomenon. The Himalayas is the most perfect and significant geographical structure, without which, life in India would have been a distant possibility. No other mountain range anywhere in the world has affected the lives of people and shaped the destiny of a nation as the Himalayas have done in respect of India.

Since the Himalayas are a young and dynamic mountain range, the terrain is perpetually evolving. By dint of their intimidating heights, unique topography, and varying climatic conditions, have long fascinated mankind. We can judge its importance by just a simple feature of that, In the absence of Himalayas, the whole of India would have been devoid of rains and have got converted into a huge desert.

Because of its high altitude, length, and location, Himalayas effectively intercept the summer monsoons coming from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, which in turn causes precipitation in the form of rain and snow. Besides this, it prevents the cold continental air of Central Asia from entering into India.

Himalayas act as a huge reservoir of water for the North Indian rivers. Almost all the great and perennial rivers of India originate from Himalayan mountains or glaciers. Snowmelt in summer provides water to these rivers, even during dry seasons, and hence these are perennial rivers. The Himalayan rivers along with their hundreds of tributaries form the very basis of life.

The Himalayas are the formation of the sediments deposited in this TETHYS (primitive) sea. This sediment is carried by the Himalayan rivers and deposited in the northern plane in the form of fertile soil making it one of the most fertile lands of the world. It has been established that the Ganga and Indus carry 19 and 10 lakh tonnes of the silt per day respectively. In addition to it, Brahmputra carries even more silt per day.

This silt not only helps in the building of the fertile plane of India but also used in the construction of high-rise buildings, which are the symbol of new and developing India. The great plains of India are the rare gift of the GREAT HIMALAYAS. And what we have done to this most fertile land of the world. Virtually we have killed it with our greed for more and more.

Many regions of the Himalayas are still inaccessible. Civilization as we know it is yet to penetrate several remote areas of the region. There are many places, that still exist, which are not explored by humans. It is this enigmatic nature of the mountains that has inspired the countless myths and legends about the great HIMALAYAS The most fascinating mystery of this mountain is the unbelievable deposition of snow.

This natural deposition of snow makes an impression of OM against the black background of the mountain. The OM is considered very sacred because it resonates with a very strong spiritual energy. The OM vibrates at 7.83 Hz, the same as the earth vibrations.

There’s a report that like mountains in the other part of the world, these mountains are not permanent or immutable (which can’t change). They seemed to be formed in the process of geological migration. The stratified (arranged in layers), fragments of the earth’s crust that make up these tiered ranges have traveled here, from different parts of the globe, and from different times of the history of this earth.

The preservation of these tectonic journeys is locked into the magnetic memory of stones (the science which measures the age of the stones), each of them is a compass that diverts us towards continents that don’t exist now.

The Himalayas allows for paradoxes to co-exist. Its peaks inspire both challenges and opportunities, struggle and satisfaction, purity and nature’s glamour at its peak, meditative calm, and cross competitiveness. It has got something for everybody. These high mountains throw up fossilized remains of Sea Creatures, which proves how uncertain this life is.

At Muktinath, some travelers bought a SALIGRAMA and split open the stone. They found nothingness (the SHUNYA), which is the beginning and the end of life. It is this magic moment when they held infinity in the palm of their hands and see the universe in a grain of Himalaya.
