Plant meditation
This was not just a regular yoga-mediation session that Mumbaikars flock to most of the time.
What made it special was that women from different walks of life got together to indulge in a rather unique mediation session with green plants of different varieties and sizes.
Recently, a study in the United States found that spending just 20 minutes among greens and nature,
walking or even sitting down outdoors, can work wonders on your stress hormone levels.
And people who attended this event were quick to agree with this.
Learning the signs of nature
Natasha Mahindra, yoga therapist, who has spent her life living amidst nature says, “The more people who connect to nature and learn to speak with nature, means the more awareness we have,
so I am thrilled to bring this to people.
Plant meditation helps to balance your elements and teaches you to listen to signs of nature to be able to live more in sync with ourselves and nature.”
Bonding with nature enthusiasts
Toral Zaveri, who is from Walkeshwar, walked into this event not only because of her sheer love for nature and plants but also due to the fact that stress takes a toll on all of us.
She says, “The best thing about plant meditation sessions is that they help you connect with nature. And the best part was the fun bonding with like-minded plant enthusiasts.”
Participants and plant lovers shared common notes too at the event.

Bringing green joy indoors
Hazel Choksi, an interior designer who hosted the event, states, “Cleansing through plants is something I have subconsciously enjoyed through childhood and also my love for home gardening.
Sessions like these made me realize there are many of us who enjoy bringing nature indoors, despite having cramped homes and moreover enjoy the process of caring and living with plants to spark joy.”
This helped plant lovers reconnect with understanding each plant and placing them as per the plants as well as their own needs.
Plants optimize the flow of energy
Mumbaikars who attended this event took back a fresh understanding of each plant that they connected with.
They learned how each plant would optimize the flow of energy in their space.
Hazel states, “Each person who was a part of this session, had a unique purpose for their plant and I’m sure will notice a positive shift in that aspect.”
