History
A cancer impacts family members and friends, as any cancer patient knows. Cancer and its treatment can create complicated sentiments and lifestyle changes that are as stressful for people in your life as they are for you. Understanding the possible changes in the way you relate to certain family members and friends may assist you in taking efforts to cultivate healthy, mutually supportive relationships during this difficult period. One such Fighter was Melinda Rose, a 12 year old Canadian Cancer patient.

First World Rose Day was held in 1996 in memory of Melinda Rose, a 12-year-old cancer sufferer from Canada who died in 1996.
Rose was diagnosed with Askin’s Tumour, a rare kind of blood cancer, in 1994. The doctors predicted that she would only live for a few weeks, but she was so determined to battle the sickness that she lived for the following six months. Many people were impressed and motivated by her attitude and determination not to give up. She spent the last six months of her life fighting the fatal disease and making each day count by making a positive difference in the lives of those around her.
It is a day devoted specifically to cancer sufferers who are presently battling the disease. Those fighting this condition are emotionally weary since it takes a lot of bravery and positivity to keep going.
World Rose Day is commemorated to bring joy to people’s lives and to remind sufferers that they are not alone in their struggle.
Many people’s lives were affected by Melinda Rose’s short existence. She did not give up hope of survival till her dying breath.
Types of Cancer
Cancer is one of the many fatal diseases that have a significant influence on an individual’s mind and body. Aside from the medical consequences, this condition causes a great deal of stress, misery, and psychological effect for both patients and caretakers.
As the occasion demands, here’s a little awareness for you on the subject matter.
Cancers are called for the location where they begin and the type of cell they are comprised of, even if they spread to other areas of the body. A cancer that starts in the lungs and progresses to the liver, for example, is still referred to as lung cancer. There are also numerous clinical terminology for certain kinds of cancer:
- Carcinoma is a kind of cancer that begins in the skin or the tissues that border other organs.
- Sarcoma is a kind of cancer that affects connective tissues such as bones, muscles, cartilage, and blood vessels.
- Leukemia is a malignancy of the bone marrow, which produces blood cells.

Skin Cancer
Skin cancer is classified into two types: non-melanoma and melanoma. The most prevalent type of skin cancer is non-melanoma (basal cell and squamous cell skin cancer). The majority of these cancers are treatable. Melanoma, on the other hand, is the deadlier form of skin cancer.
Renal Cancer
Renal is second name of Kidney. Renal cell cancer (also known as kidney cancer or renal cell adenocarcinoma) is a condition in which malignant (cancer) cells are discovered in the lining of the kidney’s tubules (very tiny tubes). The kidneys are located on each side of the backbone, above the waist. The kidneys’ tiny tubules filter and purify the blood. They remove trash and produce urine. Urine flows from each kidney into the bladder and then out of the body via a lengthy tube called a ureter.
Tobacco use increases the risk of kidney cancer, as well as obesity and hypertension.
Bladder Cancer
Bladder cancer is a major type of cancer that begins in the bladder cells. The bladder is a muscular hollow structure in your lower belly that retains urine. Blood in the urine is a frequent sign of urinary bladder cancer.
Thyroid cancer
Women account for three out of every four occurrences of thyroid cancer. Surprisingly, it is the cancer that is spreading the quickest in both men and women. The most frequent sign of thyroid cancer is a bump in the neck.
Endometrial cancer
It is a kind of uterine corpus cancer that generally starts in the endometrium (uterus lining).
Endometrial cancer also known as corpus uterine cancer or corpus cancer is the most prevalent female genital cancer in the developed world, with the most frequent form being adenocarcinoma of the endometrium.
Breast cancer
It is the most common type of cancer in females in is not limited to one part of the world. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer mortality among women (after lung cancer)
Among all these , some of them are curable with time and operations, whereas some result in the person only living for few years.
If you know someone or you’re someone who is Cancer Patient, Just know that you are brave and the strongest Fighter that there is.
Best Wishes!
